Environmental Systems Applications of Geomatics Engineering (EnviSAGE) is the research laboratory of the UP Department of Geodetic Engineering which focuses on the use of Geomatics and geospatial technologies in addressing environmental issues.
Conserving the environment requires knowledge of environmental processes. These processes create spatial patterns in environmental variables that can be examined to know more about what have occurred. While building on the past spatial patterns, conserving the environment also require a forward looking approach. Simulations and scenario analysis are prime tools to explore what can happen in the future, considering physical, natural, and and socio-economic processes.
